New Dark Engine BLADE IR Illuminator

In a world where everyone is quick to criticise we should also be able to give credit where it's due. I have my Hik Alpex 4k 2 months now and have tried it with all manor of IR torches. I tend not to listen to the noise and put my money where my mouth is. I've trialled both LED and VCSEL torches from many different manufacturers at much cost to myself. I wanted the best I could have. For my particular application long range foxing I've settled on the Dark Engine Blade. For short range work like rabbits an LED IR torch will work for most and does give a "clean" image but all that I have tested quickly run out of legs at around 150 yards. Clive's Dark Engine Blade fills the FOV at base mag 3.5x on the 4k, is light weight, small dimensions, superbly made and gives a great image even on flood out to way further than you would shoot. On full spot it allows you to crank the magnification right up on the 4k and still gives a very clear image whereas most of the others when the mag is zoomed up give a very grey pixelated image. I have zero affiliation but have bought products off Clive before and this little torch is superb in my opinion. It by far ticks the most boxes for me compared with all others. So credit where it's due.

Hi Clive,

Do you have any stock of the Dark engine Blade IR in stock at the moment i would like to order one.

kind regards
We're in the final throws of the current production run and will start shipping the back orders next week.

Once they have been cleared we 'should' have stock available for general sale this run.

Cheers

Used mine for the first time last night.

When using the low - high power knob on the back should it gradually increase the power on the light from nothing to full power?

When in the middle of the two mine almost cut out or was almost flashing like a strobe.

I’ve messaged Clive to clarify.

Anyone had delivery recently of the blade? Been nearly 2 weeks since I ordered and I’ve had no contact from them?

Yes I’m here and email, no reply, seems to be a few people on fb as well that haven’t heard back in a while
Not good for business , bad customer communication. I've been looking for a new Ir and reading stuff on here put me off ordering one.

Hi All,

Sorry we've been very busy here with manufacturing and shipping the back orders.

We're not all the way there yet. Embarassingly when we upped the manufacturing run volumes we omitted to up the order quantity for the tiny stainless steel lens retaining screw. We could have sourced mild steel locally, but it would just rust and look naff so we have to wait for the correct ones. These are due in the next day or so. Then we can finish off the remaining manufacturing and get the last of the back orders sent out.

Cheers

Perfect thank you

Clive, I've tried sending the contact form on your site, not sure if it's gone through. Just wondering if you ship the BLADE IR down to Australia?
Thanks,
Frank

Hi Clive,

Ordered about 1 week ago now, just wondering what your lead times are for delivery. I have order confirmation but haven’t heard anything since. I Don’t mind if it’s going to take a couple weeks but would prefer to know.

Cheers,

Greg
