Aurora borealis NOW U.K.

Overhead is crazy I was looking north not thinking much of the wispy white clouds above me, but I decided to check a cloud app and noticed there was no cloud where I was at then I noticed the slight jittering of the columns of light.

The colour came on super fast one moment It was white like night clouds then the other second it was bright purple, amazing stuff.

For anyone curious this is just a regular old Samsung s20 I used the 'night' mode what has a few second exposure It seems to have a lightening effect for the actual sky itself so It isn't pitch black and all sad looking.

Try again tonight - need to be somewhere dark to see much with the naked eye but your camera phone will see a lot more, amazing how the sensors can enhance the available light & show colours the human eye can't process naturally.
