I've been granted a 7mm prc slot and wanted some advice on a mod that won,t break the budget. The mod i was looking at is the A-tec h2 as this is not too expensive and light weight for the stalking rifle its going on. ( Bergara Quest Carbon).

Anyone else use this mod on a magnum caliber?

I use a lighter A-Tec cmm-4 on my 270 (60+ gr powder) and a H2 on my short barreled 220 Swift. I'd happily use the H2 on a 7mm PRC (70+ gr powder?) - it might be worth adding a 3rd baffle if it's not quiet enough with 2.

I’ve got the Bergara Quest Carbon in 7mm PRC and I’ve tried both Ase Utra SL7i and a Stalon XE 108. Both performed well think I’ll stick to the Stalin to keep the weight down when stalking. If doing range work I’ll put the SL7i on.

Hi
We have been looking at building mods for 6&7mm PRC calibres in the last couple of days, strangely enough 5/8 x 24 unef.
Available as an option if required.

Keep away from A-Tec H2. I had one on a .223 and it failed after about 6 months. If you want a lightweight mod I would recommend the new Freyr and Devik UTS range. They have a titanium 3D printed core and are excellent.

Where did you order the hausken from as no UK suppliers currently
Hi
So I’ve given details of the Mod I wanted to Shooting Supplies in Bromsgrove - at present I had a brief conversation and getting one ordered appeared it wasn't a problem - just sorting out the variation etc
