markings on my brass from dies,

24hrs because someone on here said he did his for 24 hrs and they were nice and clean so Iv just been doing that in a dry tumbler with corn cob. And yes RCBS wet case lube. And imperial dry neck lube. Which I don’t like as some times it clogs the neck up and I have to tap it to get it out.

You’re not supposed to use them together!

The dry lube is for dry neck sizing, my guess you are getting graphite mixed in with lube and that is what is causing the black marks.

You really shouldn’t need to dry tumble for 24 hrs, cases can only get clean after that you are wasting electricity.

In the nicest way, I do genuinely wonder if you should be reloading sometimes!

well without going through all my old posts, im pretty sure they were both recommended to me, and im also pretty sure iv mentioned using them both and no one ever picked up on the fact,
your theory to my problem does sound plausible though, but on the other hand iv been doing it that way since i started and iv probably reloaded well over 500 bullets, and never had this problem,
and as id say that this problem is not a dangerous one, as its something id always pick up on as i have, and i will always enquire about any problems i have to be on the safe side, im still learning, if only i could start doing something and be perfect straight out the gate:)

does anyone want any dry neck sizing lube:cool:

As @25 Sharps said, you're not supposed to use a 'wet' lube (your RCBS wet lube) with dry neck lube. You're going to create a paste.
I'm sure people have recommended both, and other lubes, but not intending that you use wet and dry together. The Sinclair video shows the Redding Imperial wax and dry neck lube.
You really need a mentor to assist you with your reloading.

Probably not relevant here, but, if you get a paper clip, straighten it out then put a 90 degree (Small enough to go inside case neck) bend on one end, you can push this inside the case and IF the case head is heading for separation you will feel a groove round the inside down by the case head.
Ken.

i see, i was presuming the RCBS lube and the imperial were both kind of the same in texture after its come off the pad 👍

Have you got a decent reloading manual?

Maybe stay off the internet for a bit,
does that include looking at mucky women

id like to think now iv pretty much got it down now, other than this strange thing thats just happened, i know my lube combination maybe wrong, but as i said iv made well over 500 rounds this way and its been faultless, iv had no silly careless mistakes for a while and im getting good consistency and groupings with my rounds, saying that i will not be using that combo of lube again👍
