There’s fu*k all you can do if you value your way of life, income and family. These bugg*er don’t play by the same rules you or I have to as firearms holders and employed members of society. We have a lot more to loose.

The best thing you can do is make it harder or less attractive in the first place.

As the pcw that attended told me; you might be a big lad of 21st 6’2” but they will just come back if you batter them with more folk and or burn your shed/ house out.

Most of my farming neighbours, who are large lads you would not mess with on a night out, now take the approach of not challenging and calling the police then insurance in that order when a theft occurs. Sad but that the reality unless you are prepared to do time for reaping revenge.

Its sad that we cant protect our valuables and family as the criminals have more rights than us if we were to hurt them same as few farmer around here with poachers etc when they approach them they say we come bsck burn your barns down n stuff so the farmers say its not worth going out to them

Ghost immobilisers seem to be getting more popular. Although if stealing the keys in a burglary & then cant start the car they may get a bit less friendly trying to persuade you to put in the ghost code.

Remember waking up one morning to see the door of my 3 month old MG Metro (I know laugh all you like but at 19yo it was my pride and joy) open and the ignition lock smashed to bits, it was gut wrenching! Fortunately the scrote who'd tried to pinch it had been a bit to enthusiast in hammering the screwdriver into the ignition barrel and it'd completely shattered making it impossible to turn.

I think it should be a choice of 150gr or 180gr....but sadly the guy missing a leg would be on benefits for life and the gun owner would be in prison with no FAC - seems a bit fecked up.

its wrong that no one is allowed to protect property. police either dont attend or come too late.

My mates 2 week old Toyota hi lux top spec all kitted out in the back for stalking,disappeared over night they took the garage doors right off and put them around the side of the garage which is 200 yds from his house, now still awaiting insurance pay out and extra cost of two steel bars, Nv alarm + monitored cameras plus more lights than Blackpool tower, garage is still empty two sets of keys still in his house, they didn’t need them apparently not these days According to the old bill

I stick to vehicles that no one would want to steal. That said, we had a walk in a few years ago to grab the better half's handbag. Took £30 off her cards before she cancelled them. They also got the one key for a 20yr old mondeo... no option for me but to deflate the 2 kerbside tires and put a bike lock thru the alloys and round the suspension strut. Believe it or not they came back for the car the next night but didn't get far.

Neighbours van was pinched, police published wrong date and time of theft.
Informed them I'd got cctv of van leaving the street at the correct time and date.
2 months later no response, .
I suppose they think if u have a crime number for insurance case closed.

I’m not sure who’s worse, petty car thieves or the people we appoint to run the country…both steal from those better off and hard working, and send things off to the Middle East or Africa, whether it be people or cars
