Has anyone found a metal security box that will fit the Hik Micro Trail Cam like the ones for SPYPOINT ?

I have had enough of the unreliability of SPYPOINT cams and are replacing these over time with Hik Micro which seem so far to be much more reliable

Thanks

What is the issue with the spypoint? Looked at Hik seems better speck like the idea of the GPS if it was to go missing. This would be my first trail cam!!!

I’ve got 8 SPYPOINT cameras mostly flex and the smaller LM2. The flex in particularly have been really unreliable. Bought 3 in the last 6 months and all have developed hardware faults (will not turn on or connect) and have been replaced under warranty which takes ages - 2 months or so to go back get checked, agree they don’t work and get a new one. After that they tend to fail at the end of the 2 year warranty period leaving you stuck. To be fair have only had the Hik one for a few months but connects much better (in the same place as the SPYPOINT ones) and seems better built. Let’s see but I’m not buying anymore SPYPOINTs

My spypoint and hik have both gone wrong. I’ve just brought a Zeiss camera and so far so good but it’s early days yet. If you subscribe to their top package if someone walks off with your camera they will replace it and you can also track it on the app. It also tells you what animal it’s detecting and hopefully in the near future you will be able to select certain animals to notify you on some no more pictures of squirrels and pheasants

Looking forward to the confirmation of the beast of Bodmin. Anyone got these cameras around Lochness?

Crap phone reception where they are required limits their use. The older camera can be put out but the photos straight to the phone can be handy.
If you can put the cameras high above eye level it will reduce the number of people that notice them, being high up even less will have the ability to interfere with them.
