I purchased a pard ds35 70lrf from Blackwood outdoors on the 3/7/2024 - quick delivery with good communication on delivery details - I have tried it out once & it has issues & wish for it to be returned for a refund or replacement - faulty ir that won't adjust / 3 black marks on the inner lens!
I have contacted Blackwood Outdoors via email regarding these issues ( with no reply!) - I have pm Ian via this forum ( yet again, no reply!) yes - he's been online since! So it looks like PayPal will have to sort this out -
Beware, a trade seller that is quick to take your money, but not so forthcoming on problem solving!
Very dissatisfied with the aftersales service.

Based on my experience, I shall no longer be giving Blackwood Outdoors any further business.

Ian is very good at answering emails when you're buying stuff. He's a nightmare when you have issues.

If you have an issue with a Pard DS35 then you would get a far better response by contacting Ben at Sportsman Gun Centre for a warranty repair (ben@sportsmanguncentre.com).
I didn't buy it from sportsman gun centre, my issue is with Blackwood Outdoors - it still within the 14 days rights to return, let as lone it's faults - according to his Web site it states to contact them for the correct return address -
Total out of order when he's been online & still not bothering to reply.

Yes, I understand that, but Ian will simply send any Pard item which you return to him for a warranty repair to Sportsman Gun Centre - that's unless you're looking for your money back of course. When I bought my first DS35 from Blackwood Outdoor it had an issue where the lens cap fell off. When I eventually got hold of Ian he advised me to contact Sportsman Gun Centre direct because that's all he would do. I rang Sportsman Gun Centre and explained the problem and they were very good, they even arranged collection of the defective unit from me free of charge. So far I've sent three DS35-70's direct to Sportsman for warranty repair - two of which where purchased from Blackwood Outdoors.

If you want to return an item and get a refund, it has to be with the shop you bought it from.

Maybe copy in the mods on here as he is a trade member
TBH used him many times and always been great so i would not worry at this stage too much - maybe has an issue?
 
Lots of inventory, plenty becoming obsolete quickly, likely on credit to suppliers, enormous downturn in NV/Thermal sales over the summer months = **** your pants moment when you need to fix things cash-flow wise and net credit terms mean bills need paying soon = customer service disappointments.
 
Because of his poor aftersales service I've passed this on to PayPal whom I paid via, so it should get sorted, just a bit of a p-ss take, I won't be buying anything else from Him or recommending him to anyone.

If you have received faulty goods, and the retailer does not respond within a reasonable time, you could try calling the Trading Standards office nearest the retailer.
It is amazing how quickly issues are resolved when TS go calling!!
