223 50gn Vmax Daya

Yeah it wasn’t on VV website, and for whatever reason when I googled 50gn Vmax load data the Hornsey website wasn’t amongst the results.

Thanks for the help!

use the data on similar bullets in 50grain to build up your load . very , very common practice essential practice for loading . Indeed i was looking up similar in the Hornady App yesterday and they just bunched the lot together . Always work up the charge from a lower fill
Yeah that’s what I had done but noticed they max did vary a grain or two so just thought best to try and get the actual data.

Thanks 👍

waste of time really . proof loads are a lot higher ! each barrel will be different , powder batches also have a tolerance and ambient temp changes burn speed . A proof load unless you greased the lugs well will likely need more than fingers to re -open the action as in a mallet ! while we work on the feel of a bolt lift when working up a load and case measuring expansion at the rear
