I did read 150 perform well, I believe the ones the shop recommended were 120 but would need to get the box out to confirm

Hoping this rifle will stay with me throughout my whole stalking journey

I handled a few tikkas and they were nice for sure but the Sako just felt "right"
The shop also said the Sako would be the better choice even though it was cheaper than the tikka I was comparing it too and that it had seen very little use so will last

I use raw linseed/ meths mix at home. There was an article on how to look after a wooden stock on here a few years ago. Think it might have been Olaf.

You’ve peaked early with that rifle for your first.

Never part with it , but if you must for a different calibre , just rebarrel it.

..I’ve been shooting a 75 for over twenty years now, superbly build rifles.
As for ammo, don’t discount some of the cheaper offerings, you may find a standard 165 soft point shoots very well and the .308 has plenty of slap to easily deal with any deer in this country.
Also cheaper ammo means you can get more practice in, which is a good idea if it’s your first CF rifle.

I think that too! Very fortunate to have cover across it when I did and for the fac to arrive the same day! Like it was meant to be

Superb advice - yes definitely hoping to get a few range outings planned to see what she can do at different distances and get more trigger time in - very excited indeed!
