Looking for a second dog as lost one of ours just over a year ago, have a wirehaired vizsla but quite fancy a Korthal griffon but don’t know of anyone who has one or has owned one.
if anybody out there has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have a 4 YO, have been round them for the last 20 years/ 5 litters. Happy to answer any questions you may have, send me a message. Cheers

How’s your mate getting along with it as a pup, I had a proper roller coaster of a ride with the vizsla we have now, from gun shy to eating a hole in my works van passenger seat
At least it wasn’t on the office floor

I tried to get one before I settled for the GWP but looking at your picture my GWP looks like a litter mate with the same coat and facial furnishings. He is also a lot calmer and easier to live with than most reports of his breed and has never really ranged very far. I'll try and get a picture in daylight and post it , his pedigree says he's got Trudvang, Kimmax, Germanus and Bryantscroft throughout his pedigree. Don't know if any of these lines were used in creating the Korthals which is a relatively new breed but he looks very similar. But wouldn't change him he's a great all round dog but papers say he's a GWP. There was a waiting list for the breeder she was only taking a litter every year or so and the next litter were booked and I needed a pup ............ Not the best picture and he was stripped a few weeks ago . I'll try get the breeders details looked out .

This is
Who I've got mine off. So far so good, basic training coming on well. She is full of her self, chasing the lawnmower around the garden yesterday. Very interested in some fallow legs and going well so far. Fingers crossed we'll stay on track (pardon the pun).

Hi spoke to Jason today, seems a nice chap and he works and trains his a stones throw from where we live so will try and meet up with him sometime.

Just wondering what kind of money people are asking for a Korthal griffon pup and any advice on bitch or dog.
cheers.

Just bumping this. To those with pups who commented how did you get on? Just been shooting on the marsh with a chap who had one and was really great natured unlike some of the gwps Iv met. Also mentioned that it didn’t shed?

Old post I know , but I have a Griff (Teddy) from Colleen & Arthurs first litter of pups ! He’s a fantastic working dog , will hunt anything ! And he’s a Fantastic family dog with our 2 young girls. I would say if people get one they have to be worked to truly make them happy!

Interesting. Food for thought my cockers aging quickly now 8.5 not sure I’d get another now I do more stalking ans wildfowling than game shooting.
