Muzzle Brake

Can you post the video to YouTube? I’ve never see gas come back to the scope before. A brake really is effective at mitigating recoil but they really do increase noise at the shooter.
And anyone within miles around….👍😘

Personally , I hate muzzle breaks . They do work , but they are obnoxious devices . I've never felt the need for one on any of my hunting rifles . When it comes to 50 cal Brownings , they're a necessity however .
As for moderators , I live in Canuckistan where the government watches too much TV and thinks that they're only used by assassins or James Bond , not hunters ...................... stupid government .

I recall being on a firing point with some Czech colleagues firing a Barrett .50 with a brake fitted - it nearly shook my back teeth out. Generally unpleasant for those to the sides of the firer, but they do have utility. A lot of African PH’s don’t like being anywhere near them so expect some pushback if bringing one fitted to your rifle there. They also raise a lot of dust in dry conditions. If you must have one / need one (remember moderators are verboten for some) buy a decent one, some of the cheaper alloy ones can literally break up under a pounding from stiffer calibres.

My 375 ruger came with a brake, and also a matched weight. Brake for targets / load dev, weight for use in the field.

That said, last time I went stalking, I kept the brake on and wore ear defenders. It was -4c, so they kept my ears warm.

Mine came with the same, they now both reside in a draw since I put a mod on it

Or, it's for people shooting long range, that want to see their splash better. Brakes are not all about recoil reduction. There are several benefits to them, in the appropriate conditions.
Or for people doing driven boar where you want to be able to fire a fast second shot and stay on the game, ( Me 👍)
