Rucksack

Alpine Lowe probably the best. Berghaus a good second.
Go to an outdoor shop and try a few for fit. They are all different

Mauser do a handy sized rucksack. I squeezed everything in earlier this year for my trip to SA. Admittedly we stopped off at a supermarket to pick up some toiletries, toothpaste, shampoo etc.
the last few years I’ve traveled I’ve hung everything up in my wardrobe and noted what never got used/worn. With a daily wash and warm weather your kit can be minimal.

Out of interest why not just use whatever you normally would for clothes etc - holdall or carry on suitcase?

That is what I thought. I like a duffel back with rucksack straps because it makes it easier to carry and doesn't take up much space when empty.

That made me chuckle. On the rare occasions I go anywhere I just stuff a few clothes and a toothbrush in my stalking backpack. Probably just as well that I've never tried to get through an airport 😂

I use Aldi's fishing holdall whenever I escape, sorry go away shooting.
Loads of fishing stores do similar about 25 quid.
Side / end pockets for toiletries, main bit easily holds 4 sets of clobber .
Longer stays either army Rucksack or Decathlon pouch both 100l
