Muntjac weight

Thanks for the replies.
It’s just an interest to me that there’s Muntjac out there who have never shown themselves to a stalker with a rifle and therefore grow to the maximum size they can. I’m just pondering on what that live weight could actually be.
From your replies I’m surmising that it’d be rare to find one with a live weight over 20kg.

That is a big boy! You should start a thread documenting live weights. I recently had an old buck at 15.26kg live weight and was curious and found this thread, so they’ll definitely be other interested.

I will look back in my cull records but it will be larder weight.

Our DMG has to record the whole weight as part of our licence conditions. I've just looked through my records for the last 20 years and found that my heaviest MJ buck was 18.30 kgs. Most are several kgs lighter.

Thanks for that - it would seem from other SD members that they don’t get much bigger than 18 kg then.
