Demise of the Country /Yorkshire Gent Podcast

Having found myself in need of some 'ear candy' whilst driving between jobs or working in the larder, I came upon an old podcast on Spotify.
The quality of the guests and the delivery and likeability of the hosts made me keen for more!

It then came as quite a surprise that the show abruptly ended after a 72 episode run. Starting in about 2018 and running to 2021, it crammed a lot in.

The hosts - Rob and Nick - had a way about them that really got the best out of their gusts and the content of the shows. I have looked everywhere to see why the show finished, and if either one carried on in the podcast industry. But, with just their first names to go on, a defuncted website and little else, there are no leads.

Still, I found it a good listen too.

If you are at a loose end over Christmas, and need entertaining, there is a link below.
Any information on the two hosts would be interesting.

The Country Gent podcast

Nicks primary business interest (PR) is consuming all of his time. I have urged him to start the podcasts again but I think we will be waiting some time.

Thanks @Turkish. I wouldn’t have found this podcast had you not posted it here. I’ve listened to maybe a third of them. Cracking stuff and a real shame it didn’t continue.

Yes it was very good especially the whiskey taster
The whisky was good, but the interviews with Nicks father -in-law on history were fantastic. They made me crack up every time. I was never sure if he was being serious or not. Such a character.
He reminds me of the character , 'Count Arthur Strong' from the Radio 4 comedy shows.

It was a very entertaining and informative podcast.
I agree that it's a shame it didn't continue.

Its's pretty niche stuff but I really enjoy a couple of different dog training podcasts:

Barton Ramsey: The Lab

Global Retriever Podcast

Both are on spotify.
