I can’t upload photo’s.

I can no longer upload recent photos I get the error “ the uploaded file is too large”.
The problem only occurs with recent images, older files load no problem and photos which won’t load today will later.

load it up as a thumbnail and see what it does

What I do when that happens is to screenshot the photo I want and post that up instead. The file size of the screenshot will be smaller than the original pic.

It could be camera settings if your phone has updated. A work around is emailing the photo to yourself, you usually get asked what size image is required. Select a reduced size and it should be under hosting limits. I’m sure there is a technical way of resizing an image but I find that way works well.

There is a trend to try and upload larger and larger pictures onto our site that is more than we would need.

Sometimes you will get this:


Here is how you can limit the size using iPhone/iPad...

In the bottom of the page when you choose a picture to upload, choose 'Options' or (the options icon) and then 'Large' or less.






When you upload the image they will be just as large as you will ever need...
