Out last night.

I was hoping to get one a week for the year, but despite getting ahead in the first 6 months, I ended up on 40 for the year.

Tim, If you slow down a bit & read Smelly's post you might get the picture.
Prerequisite was the word you were looking.
If I had meant to INCLUDE Deer I would have just sent for you.:)

I hadn't been counting, not done for a good while now. Felt like this year had been one of my busiest.
I have trawled back through my texts and WhatsApp and had a count, two farmers don't do texting so had to guesstimate them.
140 for the year. It's a big number, lots of legwork that's for sure. I have never shot from the truck. There have also been a few that I have bid good luck to and let them go on. Some areas they are not causing trouble and a couple of my perms want them left alone.

If you only had made the title clearer in the first place!
When I decided to use out last night as a thread title, I wasn't in possession of a night shooting licence for deer, but I didn't express exclusions for peoples pics of deer / badgers, rats or anything else anyone may have shot, as it is a free forum.

I did start to count through from page1, post 1, how many Fox were shot by individuals, (Just Fox, NOT Deer)

If I'm honest I stopped keeping a count a few years ago. But I usually manage about 40 - 50 quite easily, so If you called it 40 for me it would be there about.

I started this year's tally within a few yards of where I left off with the vixen I shot on Monday. I curled her up asleep under an oak tree after I had squeezed her bladder out, I did have the chance of an evening on the ducks but passed that one in favour of getting back to her in the hope of catching up with the dog she was with, the plan came good and I got two fellas within ten minutes of each other within 30 yards of where I had made the Unlucky Ladies final resting place.

Just come back. Shot 3. 2 dogs and a very big vixen. I think i got the hen killer who was curled up hiding in the back of an old muck clamp. 4 more to get on the sheep farm and saw 2 others. Thick mist esp close to streams so called it a night as couldn't see anything through my Photon.
