Got a couple of tubs of this and a 1000 tmk’s so wondering if anyone uses it with success with there .223? It will be running through a 22” 1-8” twist tube so I am hoping I can get a not bad speed with good accuracy with it without having to go get another powder🙈be handy if it worked. Many thanks

I started reloading for my 23" 1/8 twist barrel with RS50 and struggled to get the accuracy/velocity i desired.

Switched down to RS40 and got all I wanted.

I think RS40 is a faster burning powder and more suited to .223 calibre. I ran 69gr TMK with excellent accuracy. The attached photo shows a group in the head that was my last 10 rounds of 69tmk at 200m so I was happy with the plinking.

Worth a bash with the RS52 but I reckon RS40 will serve you better bud.

I use it with 69g TMKs in my 22-250 with 1 in 9 twist barrel
Not sure it would burn fast enough in a 223 with that weight of bullet

Cheers

Yea from what you are all saying rs40 is a better option! I use 53 grn vans in my .22.250 with rl15 so I picked the rs52 up for when I ran out thinking it would work with the vmax in the .22.250

I used RS52 in 22-250 under 55gr and it was great, but it never quite achieved the same results in 223 under 69gr SMK.
