Just wondering if anybody uses these federal fusions and what they make of them?
Any feedback I’d appreciate

I tried the federal fusion in 3006 but had problems with them , when I put them on paper targets to zero I found that I had odd bullets tumbling sideways through the target , they didn't suit me so I dropped back to the powershok, but good luck and try them for youself.

I tried them in 140gr for my 7mm 08. Accurate enough, but.......did very strange things inside a carcase when they contacted a bone on the way in. I managed to fish out some bits of the metal jacket which looked like a corkscrew, but we were finding bits of case all over the place. Had a couple of carcasses marked down by the game dealer, despite a perfect heart/lung shot, one had a broken spine and another damaged fillets. So, changed to Winchester or PPU 140gr soft points and the problem went away. Caveat emptor.

Tried the 130’s but couldn’t group them for some reason. May have been me or the rifle but settled on RWS in the end.

I used them in factory form. They were pretty explosive, rarely exited, lots of lead and copper fragments. Accurate, at least in my rifle.

Used them in 120gn 25 06. Awful, had several longgggggg runners off well placed shots, actually resulting in lost beasts. I think they were very hard bullets that pencilled through, heard similar of some highland boys shooting 270.

Use them in my tikka .270 and can’t fault them. Stopped using the power shock as was getting flyers and found these more acurate and were putting beast down on the spot. To be honest would still be using them if I could get hold of them more easily but have changed to Norma 130gr and having great results.

Used them In 130gr in my 270 a few years back.
Found them very accurate but as said they did some strange things when you shot deer with them.
One red hind dropped on the spot then got up and ran about 300y before finally stopping.
Another one on a roe doe, perfect side on heart shot but the bullet came out the back haunch .
After that I stopped using them.

Appreciate all your comments. Bought some Norma .270 in 130g today. The price.....I was amazed, £48!! Had to test them though. If they shot well I’m buggered, haha

Sorry to revive an old post here, shot a young fallow this morning with these federal fusions in 130grain from the 270. What should have been a perfect H&L shot, bullet exited at the back of the rib cage really low

I’ve been happy with them this season in 150gr .308.
No dramas, shot them in the head, neck and H&L. The only thing is shot them under 70ish yards in the chest and it can get messy.

I have been using Ferderal Premium 150gn bullets in my 270 this year. Same point of impaaft as the 130gn and only £30 a box.
Haven't had an issue with them
