After years of hammer, my Meindl boots have started to let a little moisture in. They are sooooo comfortable im reluctant to start looking for new ones as theres plenty of life left in them.
Do the Sealskinz do what they say on the tin? and do you end up with sweaty feet in warmer months, any other comments?
Cheers.

I gave up trying to keep my boots waterproof. Now I wear the knee height Sealskinz socks and wade through rivers without a care. Feet stay dry and yes, they don’t leak. Some foot sweat for sure, but not a deal breaker. Never going back to gaiters and goretex boots
Sounds great , my boots are leaking too.
Any link to them ?

Can you not find the source of the leak, ( having fixed a few boots previously)

The goretex in my Meindls is totally stuffed and the water pours in....I wear a thin pair of cotton socks under the Sealskinz....they are always bone dry after a hard day in very wet conditions. Highly rate the Sealskinz socks.

Look on e bay for the Military one’s, buy new not used, a lot cheaper than standard sealskins socks.
Never used these when I was in the military, but use them for stalking now. Wouldn’t want to cover lots of miles in them or be moving fast, but for plodding through soggy ground they are great.

The problem is almost always a hole or tear in the waterproof liner. Then they tell you that its all your fault because you didn’t cut your toenails so they won’t fix or replace them under warranty.
