PG are down to £1.5/kg for roe, and I believe £1 for reds with deductions for chest/shoulder shot too

Personally I think they are just creaming it on the margins. Local butcher charges £60/kg

As @VSS has pointed out, it’s not really surprising that the prices offered by game dealers are so low: an awful lot of people are effectively using them as a waste disposal service. It’s normal to pay for waste disposal!

Castle Game, Winchburgh take a few deer but they are not high volume dealers and may be choosy to existing suppliers.

I pay to get all my deer processed by a butcher, it's all labelled vac packed and beautifully presented.
Yes it's a cost but id rather get them processed and gift venison and burgers away to encourage people to eat, I do this for on average 50 deer a year, wee eat alot but also gift alot away to folks that appreciate it.
Doing this has gained me quite alot more ground over the years.

Thanks All. I could shoot more if I was able to sell some. I butcher, process and give away everything at the moment but it does restrict me to 1 or 2 per weekend because of the time involved. I tend to skin and quarter one evening, put it in the fridge, then break down haunches, vac pack and mince on another evening.

Find a butcher that will take it or that will process it for you to sell.
Maybe East Linton ?

Or possibly Gosford Bothy butcher
They used to take a few .

I’ve been keeping my Roe for the dog after my wife seen what we were paying for dogfood and the pennies I was getting for any of my deer , I now give the haunches to anybody who wants them and eat the backstraps , the mut gets the front end diced and boiled , ok it takes a wee bit longer but the dog cant get enough
