Sika deer in East Lothian and lower Tweed

Not seen any only see roe here. I spoke to someone who reckoned the forestry had shot fallow and sika at Little Clyde.
Their was a fallow pricket shot a good few years ago at the back of crowfordjohn / leadhills area
Good wee population of them not far from Moffat

Fallow all along that side, I think they escaped from Raehills when it was emparked

Refer you to my post 60 and Wanlock head. That's when Derrick was keeper there before he went to Bowhill 20 or so years ago. Proves Sika were out with the Galloway Reds then.
Spot on there G , Derrick brought us Sika Hybrid that he shot at Wanlockhead around 1997/8 weighed exactly 100lbs, paid him £100 for it.

Blimey Griff, money was good then, I remember skinning it at the Smokehouse.
Trust you and yours are ok. I'm still scrobbling about after Fallow.🤠

Derrick Goodwin went there to improve the grouse, never heard how it did. There are definitely Sika close to there, you could almost spit from Dawyck over St Mary's loch and they were as far as Phillipshaugh and Ettrick bridge 20 years ago. They went up the Manor valley and down to Innerleithen years ago.
these boys were not far from Innerleithen yesterday about 10
