Sadly Roedetonator was killed in a RTC some years ago. Pete was a lovely chap and I went to see his Steve Bowers built 20 TAC. Seriously accurate bit of kit with a big Diavari on it. That visit instigated my purchase of my Diavari. I don't know where the 20 TAC went

Yes. So much so, my wife and I now stage conversations about a mutual passion to take up yoga or a desire to visit Haiti. Or something equally alien to our lives. There is a 50% ish hit rate for related adverts appearing on her phone in the days that follow.

Yep. Last year i was talking to a mate about flea treatment, within half an hour i noticed ads popping up for flea and tic stuff.
Not the first time it happened. My daughter has one of those things that talks to you and controls her house! (Siri?) She often gets messages about things she was only talking about. Creepy objects!!

In the US it seems the bots appear more frequently during election years. And then at some point a new user (or two, or ten) appears that post nothing outdoors related but immediately jumps to the off topic or politics areas and starts extolling the virtue of a candidate or party, or trashes a candidate or party.

And then as soon as the election is over (or the moderators have had enough) the user disappears like a fart in the breeze

Perhaps they are linked to a massive AI program that will develop “ Robot/Hybrid Mega Hunters” that said there are a few on here who think they are operating at that level currently

And that's only the bots we know about. I had to a huge IP range based in Hong Kong hosting VPN and it was, I'm sure, a Baidu-esque search engine or AI sweeping up all that lovely knowledge.
