I have a part used box of ammunition made by a well known and respected manufacturer that seems to tarnish far faster than any other ammunition that I have purchased. I have been told that it is purely cosmetic and should not be an issue but I can see tarnishing on both the brass case and the bullet - the latter even looking like a part finger print - and I it appears to be continuing to degrade despite being stored correctly. Is there anything that I can use to clean the round that will at least stop further corrosion safely - I have been told that the ammonia in traditional brass cleaner would potentially damage the integrity of the round for example?
