Tarnished ammunition

I have a part used box of ammunition made by a well known and respected manufacturer that seems to tarnish far faster than any other ammunition that I have purchased. I have been told that it is purely cosmetic and should not be an issue but I can see tarnishing on both the brass case and the bullet - the latter even looking like a part finger print - and I it appears to be continuing to degrade despite being stored correctly. Is there anything that I can use to clean the round that will at least stop further corrosion safely - I have been told that the ammonia in traditional brass cleaner would potentially damage the integrity of the round for example?

Aye, the proof house used to put oil in the chamber of widcat cartridges to increase the pressure when they didn't have the relevant test ammunition.
Nope, they oil the cartridge to increase bolt thrust.
That's why you had a proof stamp on the action and barrel.

Oil in the chamber in any quantity is a **** idea

Case and neck is meant to grip the chamber wall
Oil residue builds up
Can impact chamber pressure
Definitely attracts contaminants, carbon, grit etc

Clean and dry
I didn't say have them dripping in it and the whole case grips the chamber not just the neck.
It's perfectly normal for a film of something to be present after cleaning.
