Well got the mincer back out of the cupboard and here it has a nice coating of dark gray scum any one know how this happens and how to get rid of it. Its only on the aluminium
 
When you have finished with your mincer just wipe it over with a mineral oil it will stop the moisture and you should have
no more problems.
 
Can you post a link to buy this mineral oil from please. All the stuff I find is for car engines which obviously cant be good for food.

...aye, its not. Thats why you wash the mineral oil off the item its protecting before using it for food
