I would just like to take this opportunity to say what an incredible service I have had from the Sportsman Gun Center. By ways of a back story, my wife and son bought me a Frankfort Arsenal Intellidropper as a present, unfortunately, they used an intermediary company to purchase it. This company sent me a faulty machine and wouldn’t refund/replace said item. C£300+ down the drain, or so I thought! I emailed Sportsman Gun Center and they agreed to replace it WITHOUT question.

I am blown away by their kind gesture, I am eternally grateful to them and will continue to support them. Sadly a trait seen less and less in the modern world. But thank you Sportsman Gun Center for outstanding customer service.

I’ve just received an email from Sportsman, letting me know my Nightforce NXS, they sent back to the US for a repair, is now on its way back to me. Cost to me, one way postage to their premises in Exeter. Fantastic service, big thanks to them.

Alternatively, to return my Sightron S3 for a turret issue, Opticswarehouse want to charge me around £70 plus postage for the same service.
I think they’re taking the pi$$ for a bit of paperwork. I’ll certainly give my money to Sportsman over OPW from now on.

I had to return an S3 for repair and OPW handled it like pros. I was kept informed throughout and it was back with me in 10 days at no cost to me. This was my experience. Like any company, your mileage may vary.

That’s interesting, would you mind telling me how long ago this was? Was it sent back to Sightron for the fix and returned within 10 days?

Probably about two years ago. The scope went back to Sightron USA and was returned within 10 days of OPW receiving it from me. It included a note from the repair technician indicating what he had done. The only cost was for me to post it to OPW. I'm not knocking Sportsman's Gun Centre. I've always had a good service from them as well.

I first contacted OPW in November 2023 and the cost was £65-£75 for processing the return. As it’s an old scope I wasn’t sure it was worth it, but I think I’ll just do it anyway. All it is, is the grub screw in the elevation turret has been mangled,it has the capped turrets.

Yes, they did take some bedding in at Exeter. Would you remember them when they were in Paignton?

I do, tried to get a reloading kit from them. It was a painful experience, with no joy. My recent experience was a totally different one. They couldn’t have been better
