Zeiss Secacam help

Morning all
I’ve recently purchased a Zeiss Secacam 5 from an elderly gentleman on eBay, it’s just like new he said he got it but couldn’t work out how to work it properly, anyways I’ve gone to add it in my app and it’s still linked to his account but he’s deleted the app since and doesn’t know the details to log back in. Any ideas if it can be unlocked, he gave me the password to get into the camera and I’ve reset it but still won’t work.
Tried ringing Zeiss but goes to answerphone and left a message, also emailed but no reply as of yet

I’ve sent them an email so awaiting a reply, I had an anti snap my antenna and sliced up my strap and Zeiss sent me replacements for both foc, also need to speak to them as had someone shoot out my ir on one of them

Spoken to Zeiss just now - nothing they can do with the Secacam 5 unless the gentleman I purchased it off emails them but he said he can’t remember the details he used so waste of a camera unfortunately

did you get all the manuals? the starter guide has an activation code that might help you?

Yep got absolutely everything pal they still can’t do anything unless I drive to meet him and ring them while I’m with him but he’s from the other side of the country and he still doesn’t know his details

Even is the BIOS battery is disconnected?

Not sure how that would help transfer the camera ID to Zeiss

Why not send it back to him, get it fixed then posted back to you ???

He’s since refunded me and told me to keep the camera, shame really as it’s like brand new. Did ask if he’d do that but he said it’s too confusing for him as he only just about knows how to use his phone. Really nice bloke just not up to date with technology unfortunately

Yes buddy, got absolutely everything as if it was brand new

Then I’m sure if you reset it and then insert the code that you scratch off it will work. Not had to do it before but worth a try.
