Im looking for a tough smartwatch for my samsung s24
It's got to be tough as I work in a warehouse on and off flt plus moving freight but also for in the field
I dont want mega stupid price ones as I've seen these break
Anyone using a good one
TIA

I have a Sunnto Race, very happy with it but i don't work in a similar environment to yourself. Do seem hard wearing though.

After the third cracked screen I gave up and have a standard old school digital running watch
But of the three the withings was best. Solid bit of kit didn't look too smartwatchy and easy to use

If you can find a second hand garmin fenix 5 sapphire titanium then I can vouch that they are as tough as nails.
I’ve had mine 5 and a half years and there’s not a scratch on the glass despite my best efforts. I am however on my 3rd strap.
I work in forestry and when I’m not working I’m generally in an engine bay or welding or gardening etc., so it’s put up with a lot of abuse.

Garmin straps are cheap and easy to get on Amazon. The watches last a long time as long as you replace the straps, making them bargains.

I’ve got a Garmin Fenix Pro 6 that seems very robust. I use screen protectors on it, and although they can get cracked the glass itself is fine.

The charge lasts a good while, probably more so because I don’t have it set up to get messages/notifications from my phone!

I've been using Withings watches for years. Currently got the Scanwatch Nova, which I love but is somewhat pricey (£550 ish I think). The previous versions I had were always good, the Steel/Steel HR model I think. They look like a normal watch, have 30 odd day battery life, and suit me perfectly. Can be set up to get notifications if you wish, though I don't, I receive enough notifications on the phone as it is, I don't want my watch doing it as well. Whilst they are not without fault, I would suggest they are worth a look.

Forgot to add depending on what you have activated the sunnto race will last around 4 weeks on a single charge too

Depends what you want it for. It’s one thing to want a smart watch for phone notifications and functionality and something else to want one for sports and fitness. Once you’ve got your priorities you can have a better search.

As a brand I can vouch for Garnin. I’ve had my Garmin forerunner 745 for over 4 years and it’s still solid. The watch can track all sorts of activities, the gps function is great too for tracking activities and navigation and the app has loads of helpful fitness data.

Doesn’t do as much ‘fancy’ stuff’ as an Apple Watch but I was in the market for something for fitness rather than a second phone on my wrist when I can just reach into my pocket :D

I treated myself to the latest Garmin Fenix... Granted it is one of those stupid expensive watches, but touchwood, it's so far been fine and I am far from a careful owner.

I would recommend checking on eBay (can put a saved search on) as the previous generation of Fenix and Epix watches are frequently on sale in slightly (or even not) used forms and can sometimes be snapped up for anything from £250-400 depending on condition.

If you also do decide to treat yourself though, hopefully you know someone who might qualify for a blue light discount (emergency services + teachers), defence discount services or a student discount. All of the above can get some not inconsiderable discounts on new Garmin and Casio/G-Shock watches.

I have a Mi Band fitness tracker does blood ox, sleep, pulse, alarms shows msgs, alerts you if your phone is ringing. ?No GPS but lasts weeks on battery and about £30. also very handy for getting up in the night for a p*ss and the dispaly is bright enough to get out of the bedroom
:)

Ive got a garmin instinct 2x solar tactical.

Seems very good 👍 not a daft price. Holds a charge for weeks etc
Ive got the same and to be fair, I thought id have trashed it by now. Im tough on kit...

Its lasted really well. Mine tends to retain charge for 3 weeks or so before It needs charging depending how much sun its had. I opted for the protective screen on top of the armour glass and its worked a treat

I wear an Apple Ultra 2 which, with its sapphire screen, has yet to show a scratch after almost a full year's use.

However when stalking I still switch back to the Suunto Traverse Alpha. It also has a sapphire screen and, despite constant abuse, remains blemish free.

Unlike the Apple Watch, which needs to be recharged every 48-60 hours, the Sunnto keeps a charge for weeks at a time, unless you have the detailed GPS tracking turned on.
