How about this one Lorry driver in the next yard is off work with stress related illness because he got caught stealing and is now off work because he is stressed about losing his job and yes he is on full pay,I kid you not.Potato crisp packets are less than half full now. Same size pack, just mostly air. The kids open a pack of ready salted and stare in there going WTF!
The world is mad, yesterday a guy we used to know (bumped into) said he’s been off work and on benefits for a year because of the stress he’s had since Trump was elected…hang on, He’s Scottish and lives in Scotland!! …stress from Trump being elected??? Unreal, and the state actually paid out on that ground so he can, oh wait, use his benefits in Starbucks where we saw him!
Like mars bars - cost more with less I. The wrapperI’ve been noticing for a while now everything seems to be getting smaller except me, And I put it down to having to eat more of everything because the chocolate bars etc have shrunk
Genuine illness, I never poke fun at.Please don't belittle chronic fatigue. It really is a thing, and it's a bastard to cope with.
If I was employed (rather than self employed) I would have been signed off for the past 5 years, with no hope of that situation ever changing. As it is I soldier on, and some days I'm too weak and exhausted to do anything. No point phoning myself to call in sick though!
Pure willpowerHow you manage it ?
Crisps.... here's folk trying to get off crack and heroin and alcohol or cigs....
And here's me trying g to give up crisps ...![]()
That is the most disturbing thing I've heard in quite some time . What's really disturbing is that your aquaintance has the b@lls to actually share this with someone and think it's OK . The world is becoming a dumpster fire .Potato crisp packets are less than half full now. Same size pack, just mostly air. The kids open a pack of ready salted and stare in there going WTF!

100% agree. I am also struggling with Long COVID, and I know plenty of others also struggling. And they are not the sort who are just the lazy, sit on their backsides etc. They are driven athletes, academics, business owners and entrepreneurs who have just been completely flattened by Chronic Fatigue. This cohort of society wants to get back to leading productive lives, paying their taxes etc etc. Please don't belittle chronic fatigue. It really is a thing, and it's a bastard to cope with.

Hello, I get a bag of Crinkle crisp from the £ shopThe real proof of Shrink/Skimpflation is the humble Curly Wurly.
Us of a certain age will remember buying one of these & sharing with a couple of mates.
Now they literally fit in a child's hand.
Don't even think about crisps now,I ain't paying a £1 plus for a large bag of fresh air with tasteless crumbs in the bottom![]()
My old Mum made them for any and every time there was a gathering along with all sorts of other treats.Hello, Yes the size goes down or the price goes up, Those with young children could make your own snap crackle pop choc bars
Had CF for two years after serial infections, equalled two years out of work. Never really had my full energy back since, and that’s 10 years ago. Only thing I can compare it to are those with long covid. Not hugely fun I have to admit. Probably adds 10 yrs to you stamina wise, even if you recover. Please don't belittle chronic fatigue. It really is a thing, and it's a bastard to cope with.

In the meantime as consumers and supply chain get shafted, the Supermarkets are going from strength to strength
