Sale on Lead Bullets

Heads, projectiles, bullets, pills even freedom seeds...

Anyone with basic firearm/reloading knowledge knows what we're talking about....
That's the problem. They don't. I have known of people call a gunshop asking if they have any .303" bullets in stock to be told yes, and, on arriving after a fair journey shown not bullets but boxes of ammunition. So, alas, it can be quite unclear what is being talked about and I can understand why some might seek to post on such threads decrying loose use of words. These people (oh dear...that's a condemnatory two words) don't call shotgun ammunition "shot" so why do these same people call rifle ammunition "bullets"? Or do these same people call up a gunshop and asking if they have any (boxes of) 20 bore "shot" in stock?

I am looking forward to the Government asking me to list all our lead projectiles so they can reimbuse me in full as a result of removing them from sale

until that time.....business as usual
i would not hold your breath, nothing in the proposal about compensation.

I once phoned a gunshop and asked if they had 17 cal bullets in stock. (This shop was known for getting you to ring before travelling as they didn’t keep up with their stock online) Yes we have 17 cal bullets.
30 mile round trip for nowt, for when I went into the shop and said I’d called about 17 cal bullets the young guy asked how many I wanted and went in the back and returned with…. Yes, 2 boxes of HMR.

I now have to say "loose bullets" or "bullets for reloading" all unnecessary but a result of folk..these people...calling cartridges as "bullets". So I can see why folk also call loose bullets as " bullet heads". Better to waste breath than waste petrol. But there it is.
