Wanted: Fallow buck, Scotland

I'm looking for an opportunity to take a decent representative fallow buck very soon. I'm based in Angus, but not too far from Dunkeld, Meiklour, etc. FAC, DSC1, insurance, etc. all in place.

Blair Atholl estate have loads of ground with Fallow around Dunkeld and up toward Pitlochry. I have a great day on hinds with them a few years ago.

No joy with either, unfortunately. Fully-booked in one case, and only available as package deals in the other (which, I strongly suspect, will no doubt be ruinously expensive experience the likes of a mere mortal such as myself)

You could try Cardney Estate. It’s just by Dunkeld too. I have just booked a day on Fallow Does with them.

I fished Cardney loch a few years ago. Two rods and one boat. Had the entire place to ourselves for the day. Think we had something like 40 trout between two of us. Not huge, but beautifully conditioned and hard fighters. Sadly closed now, I believe

Sounds great fun. From what I’ve heard they have a great pheasant shoot there still. A lot of Fallow too!
