OK guys, i think i have tried anything with 18650 on it... nothing fits the battery compartment. Everything is too long.

The original battery says 18650.... but no 18650 i can find fysically fits.

They are 18650 flat top batteries
Get some from touchy boy his batteries are quality
They are slightly smaller than others and should fit perfect

Gosh I hope Torchy Boy won’t get upset…
Sounds like your local supplier may be selling cheap knock-offs..
Torchy is the way to go…

PS
If conversely your battery is too short - the late great and sadly missed Bruce gave a brilliant tip - simply attach one of the little circular earth magnets to the battery base. This brought my Dragonfly back to life after lying in a box for two years!

I meant that the pard battery is shorter than a normal 18650 battery
As it’s flat top not button
Not that torchy boy is selling short battery’s😂
Like I said ,torchy boys batteries are quality 👍

Here's a pic of two Panasonic 18650 batteries. The one on the right is flat top and measures 65 mm so one of those will fit.

I've used a variety of flat top 18650 batteries in my 007s; the odd one just won't fit (too fat or too long). However, even with the right batteries, you really need to press down hard on the cap to engage the threads; it can be a tad difficult at times!

There is variation on the size of 18650 cells.

As the name suggests they should be 18mm diameter by 65 long. In theory.

They being said some of them also have a protection circuit on the + terminal which makes them longer.

Smelly advised me to turn the cap backwards for a bit then forward - works a treat!
