nah, tried those, tried flat ones, the body of the batteries themselves is longer. Lid wont even close enough to engage the threads.Button top?
purchased it straight from Pard. The original battery also says Pard on it. It is a high quality unit, nothing Screams counterfeit. But the battery is a good bit shorter than the ones in shops hereIf this won't fit you could have an non genuine copy?
Or something wrong with the body build?
everything came in an original box still sealed up nothing aftermarketIs the battery compartment cap an aftermarket to fit a non standard battery?

Sounds like your local supplier may be selling cheap knock-offs..
Torchy is the way to go…
PS
If conversely your battery is too short - the late great and sadly missed Bruce gave a brilliant tip - simply attach one of the little circular earth magnets to the battery base. This brought my Dragonfly back to life after lying in a box for two years!
Yep I know - just having a giggle ‘cos you called him Touchy Boy!I meant that the pard battery is shorter than a normal 18650 battery

Smelly advised me to turn the cap backwards for a bit then forward - works a treat!I've used a variety of flat top 18650 batteries in my 007s; the odd one just won't fit (too fat or too long). However, even with the right batteries, you really need to press down hard on the cap to engage the threads; it can be a tad difficult at times!
