First time I’ve missed one… 😢

First day of the doe season & I’m sat at home with a buggered shoulder & a ‘not fit to work’ note that still has nearly 4 weeks left on it… I could cry!

Please don’t try & cheer me up by posting images & write ups of your outings today as my response will probably get me put on the naughty step!

Not a doe but it might cheer you up.

Can’t see what that is Tim - I can see from the writing & symbols around the edge that it’s taken on an Alpex isn’t it? - picture quality is useless in daylight :norty:

Oh man, I'm 100% with you there & in the same boat. Just had surgery, so it will be a few weeks before lifting a carcass. I'm very despondent - especially as the does are just coming back from the rut and I can see them from the bedroom window.

I managed to console myself yesterday that the weather forecast was dire this weekend so I probably wasn't going to miss much. Then I woke up to blue sky & sunshine & my first thoughts were ‘bugger - I should’ve been out this morning!’

Reckon I’ve got at least another week before I’m going to fit enough to be out & about - fingers crossed for he weather next weekend 🤞
