Ruger american rifle

Thanks, that's reassuring. You don’t think you'll need to aftermarket triggers? Have you adjusted the factory trigger? Is the 223 10 mag capacity in standard? Im looking at 204 ; standard model 10x capacity but the predatory is 3x
Well I won't be changing my trigger, like I said it's not as crisp as a Tikka, the Ruger has a tiny, tiny bit of creep but it's certainly not bad. It's totally predictable. I adjusted as low as it goes which I think is around 3lb.

Yes it comes as standard with a 10 round PMag. I have a couple of old metal AR mags which I tried and they also feed fine.

Whats people's views on the above rifle?
Well built? Accurate?

We've had the views of those with full-bore Americans, but the OP hasn't said if he's interested in full-bore or rimfire.
I've got a rimfire American LRT. It is an amazingly accurate and consistent rifle, even out to 300m. It has helped me get medals in the 50m precision and Mini McQueens matches, as well as the Long Range Rimfire Matches at the NRA, by only adding a scope.
Adjustable stock and 3-5lb adjustable trigger.
Takes 10/22 magazines, so you can go large capacity if you need to, or have a few cheap 10 round ones handy.
It is a bit heavy for field work but there are more sporting versions available.

One of my hunting partners has one of these . It's a very accurate rifle at a pretty good price . I've put a few boxes of ammo through his and I have to say , I was impressed . I may have to look at one when I get home .

Full bore, possibly 308

Had an American in .308 with an 18 inch barrel, it loved Sako 123gr ammo and was sub moa. It was bought back in 2020 for 650 euros. The rotary magazine was poor so I inletted it to have a pacific tool and guage bottom metal to accept AICS magazines, then i threaded the bolt handle to take a ruger precision bolt handle. and as said before here the orginal plastic stock was flimsy so after about 2 years I put it into an MDT LSS Chassis. I really liked the rifle, ended up selling it to a good friend of mine who got into deer stalking.
