Evening all, I’m about coming to an end of my last box of 95 grain Vmax heads. I could just go and buy more, however the inevitable is slowly creeping closer. So I’m wondering if there is such a thing as a rapid expanding lead free head in 6.5 that can fill the Vmax’s shoes? Just food for thought so I can plod along and get something tried, tested and stocked up on. These will be for foxing only btw, through a swede. ATB. Snacker.

These are the more aggressive version of the Yew Tree TLR called the super X
I've run them through my PRC. The velocity is something else... properly eye watering 😂

Yeah true, we have a fair bit of time! But it’s an extra excuse to get out with the rifle and the mrs doesn’t know there’s 2 years to go, so I can wangle it up the priority list 🤣

Look at lehigh copper chaos offerings and also the geco zero range. I've used the 7mm versions and found them very frangible.

Keep an eye out for the 6.5x55 93 grain Norma Evostrike tin option, meant to fragment unlike copper. I haven't shot it in 6.5x55, but I have had good accuracy with the 96 grain .270 Win version.
