I like the idea of the 4.9x base mag on the VolansI'll eventually post a video up on my YouTube channel HedgeHoppersUk (only a couple of videos on the channel so far but planning to crack on with it next year).

Can't compare to the hikmicro 4k but compared to the a50t is definitely clearer at range. Am using the pbir x torch. Works well with itWhat's your thoughts longer range compared to the Hik?
Once Ian sells out of them it'll actually increase in value mateHopefully get it off u half price in a few weeks pj...![]()
I have a Zulus 5-20 v2 on a .270 and am very happy with it.Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new day/night scope to put on my .243 for foxing at night and also for deer at last knockings. Main options I'm considering are
Hik Alpex 4k lrf
Pard Nightstalker 4k pro
Pixfra Volans 4k lrf
DNT Zulus V2 5-20z
Previously had the Hik A50T which I liked but lost confidence with losing zero so do I risk that again with the 4k model?
I've used my old man's Pard Nightstalker 4k which was awesome in the day but found the buttons to be too fiddley and have read that pards reliability isn't fantastic.
No experience with the Volans or DNT.
Do I just sit it out and wait to see what the Nocpix Nite D70R is going to be like?
Any thoughts are welcome![]()
It was cheap enough that I told my Mrs the real priceCouldn't resist myself and purchased the Volans. £500 with @Blackwood Outdoors seems like great value to me. Let's hope it delivers
I might drop it into the conversation in the New YearIt was cheap enough that I told my Mrs the real price![]()

How have you got on with it??Update - I've gone for the Pixfra Volans 4k lrf, currently £499 at @Blackwood Outdoors which is the cheapest I've seen anywhere.
Long story short, I returned the Pixfra Volans and bought an Alpex 4k lrfHow have you got on with it??
That answers my question!Long story short, I returned the Pixfra Volans and bought an Alpex 4k lrf![]()
It now does ( just released in USA ) but you have no integrated IR so may as well save some money and buy a SH alpex 4kCan't speak for the Volans but personally the best one out of the lot that I've played with is the Zulus V2.
If only it came in a tube format...
