White bread should never have been invented. It's horrible. And plays hell with my innards.
Certain things make life uncomfortable for me too. I've narrowed it down to a lot of products containing gluten. Strangely enough, white bread (at least Warburton's) brings on no unfortunate inconveniences

I am fortunate (my weight isn’t, but I am) that I can eat pretty much anything I want to without issue! Probably why I am a fat git!
 
Nice!! Ever done black bacon with a coting of black strap molasses? It’s ace
I've used it in a sweetcure before. I found it burned the fat black really quickly though as I like to grill my bacon under a really high heat. Personally, I loved the flavour. Wife wasn't so keen though. As I've said previously, she's just weird 😆

Just adjust the amount of molasses. Maybe drop the amount by 30%? I pan fry and have not had issues
 
Some comments on SD really do go too far.

A proper bacon sarnie is not a proper bacon sarnie unless sandwiched between thick white bread.

Sorry, but it just had to be said.
 
Hit buttered and slathered with bovril x2, shredless marmalade (wife hated the bits of orange) and lemon curd:

A lady in Perthshire makes some amazing lemon curd for the Strawberry Shop just past Scone (from memory - or was it before....).

She used to also make a lime curd for the shop which is still my all time favourite - sadly with the success of the shop and the other jams she makes, she apparently doesn't have time to make the lime curd any more 😭😭😭
