How can I excude Classifieds Ads from What's New Tab?

Well as we have had a few complaints as late about the amount of traffic in the classifieds section I have added a user option to exclude classifieds posts from What's New, should you wish.

To do so go to Settings -> General Settings

And under Thread Display Options you can check Exclude Classifieds from What's New Tab then click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

It might take a couple of page refreshes to take effect. Now when you click the What's New tab classifieds posts will not be included.

Note: this only effects the orange What's New Tab. The New Posts link will always include all posts.

If you miss a bargain you do so at your own peril!

Superb. I bet those that complain about the amount of classifieds don't bother to use the exclude option, but at least it stops them complaining! What a brilliant fix!

I for one love the classifieds and have picked up a bargain or two from there.

Well that is great it means that if i want to look at the adds i can but when i click on whats on i dont get a full page of adds. Who,s a clever boy then.

I kinda like looking at the ads in the whats new, gives you a heads up on any bargains, or items you`re looking for.

But hey ho, it`s an added feature I suppose.
