very different from our experience!

You had issues? See the outfitter name out there lots and your write up was quite complimentary?
My actual hunting experience with the bow was very good thanks to the skills of the trackers . The accomodation was very good.
However I was promised 12 blinds but there were non.
We were promised modern rifles but all there was , was 2 ancient Mausers one was faulty and both were very heavy.
There was supposed to be over 100, 000 hectres of hunting ground but we hunted the same areas over often bumping into other hunters from the group. They just took us into the area from different routes, we soon sussed that.
The animals had been hunted hard and the small herd of wildebeest got smaller as the week went on.
some shot animals were left un grolached over night, not nice considering we were eating game every meal and most of the group went down with food poisoning. My friend and i got the feeling this was a "put and take" type of outfit.
I thought long and hard about posting a negative report as things were obviously not going well for the Henning family.

This is why I need feedback to help with my decision.

That’s really interesting thanks for the honesty. See the outfitter name a lot and Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris was an outfitter I’d have considered before reading this.

That is quite calculating to try and get you all in from different angles to make it look bigger than it is.

What's the situation with bringing, for example horns only (plains game) or Warthog tusks out of Namibia? Do they require CITES paperwork.

All trophies, horns, tusks etc are meant to be treated by a taxidermist to kill off any bugs, bacteria etc. that’s not too say that your outfitter might boil a few out every now and again 😜.
However if you are close to Windhoek there are some taxidermists there and you might be able to pick up some pieces. Trophaendienst is close to the airport and a good souvenir shop where you can pick up unwanted trophies. The lead time is long from shooting to dispatch. People change their minds, die, go broke etc etc.

Looking for suggestions for a plains game cull package for somewhere other than RSA around Q3 or Q4 2026 for two people.
Morning kieran222,
Very happy to talk you through what we know and do in Namibia, Zimbabwe & Mozambique!
If you forward a telephone number through the ‘Sybarite Sporting’ website, more than happy to explain...
All the best.
Ollie

I hunted with Kowas in 2018. Plenty of ground, wide variety of animals, a happy team, and the accommodation and food was good. The management package was also very reasonably priced.
