I supose I will post the absolutely horrendous heads I got given too touch up for the person that takes me out stalking, not done by him.

I have about 10 too touch up and peroxide, but I get the joys of scraping off ancient flesh! lovely I wish I knew that before taking them home into a house with no garden...

I would tell him to do it himself 🙈😂
Lol I dont think the poor fella knew how bad they were, I offered since I'm gonna be wasting peroxide on a red stag I shot back in october anyways, I might as well plop some roe into the solution after, so far there cleaning up pretty nice but even after soaking for 4 days the bloody skin around the coronets Is bloody pain in the ass most of the paint Is gone now besides the back where they've been cut.

Non boiled heads get the peroxide minging anyways. 👍

I get too shoot on thousands of acres with pretty much the ability too take whatever long as Its sensible In that given moment, I dont have a firearms license or drive so I'm confined by his schedule but I still get out almost every week, most of the times several so I'm always happy too help out with anything he needs may that be manky skulls lol 👍

Plus once an actual genuine syndicate spot opens I'll be tucked into it so I can apply for my license with land already acquired, just waiting on me moving house too apply since my address would change mid application.

Okay whilst I have this thread up how do you guys get the skull cap and pedicels white? This is for my red stag entire skull Is pristine bone white now however the skull cap Is still a yellowy colour.

Way my bucket is there's only so much I can fill it I've heard people on here mention use a cloth/cotton etc, but It does nothing seems like the only way too get it white is keep it submerged 24/7 what requires a new bucket! 😭 🤔

Have you tried covering it in cotton wool soaked in peroxide? Or, peroxide cream/paste?

Cotton wool I haven't one would think though a cotton cloth would be a similar result, I wouldn't say the solution It was in was lacking either about 3l of 12% too about 2l of water

Unless the emulsion of those roe completely ****ed the peroxide, I doubt it but I wouldn't be surprised either? (yes I did wash 90% of it off, solution is still awful regardless tho)

I think for the awfulness I dealt with they've cleaned up nicely, there's only so much I can do and only so much the bone will take.
Lost a wonky buck, one of my dogs actually pinched it! but the bone was so loose the other side came off anyways without a doubt a yearling animal the sutures hadn't fused.

I do think the emulsion effected my peroxide, even after so much scrubbing and clean up the bottom of the black tub was caked in paste at the bottom

I could in theory touch the antlers up.... I do have permanganate and I know these will likely never be "processed" any other way again.
