Sweden - Gun Laws to be strengthened

But IOM, NI and the channel isles still allow them "pistols" so your rationale of ban em all seems flawed to me.
Here in Germany hunters are allowed two pistols I was informed during my jagdschein course the main reason being that hunters having gone through rigorous training are quasi at a hobby bobby level of trust and being out alone in the woods at night leaves them vulnerable to attack by scumbags.
We have had school shootings here too sadly mainly the perps were between 18-25 often ex pupils of the school.
They’re already banned, I’m not fussed either way. Unlike some though I can understand why.

Jesus, you really do lay on the anti shooting rhetoric quite thick don’t you.?

If you want to actually discuss it I’d suggest you actually learn what the current laws are .

Other than that, I’ve pointed out the anti gun stuff enough so I’ll leave you to it. At least folk know what to expect from you on threads like this.

People like you will be the death of shooting.

Yeah ok, how many people have you introduced to shooting recently? Or do you just cry about current licensing laws when people talk to you about it,

Why do you hope it’s not mine? 😅
I did a reverse search using Google lens, which found many messy gun rooms (assumed to be in the USA from the lack of gunsafes or locks), but not this image.

The AI Overview states the obvious:

AI Overview
The image shows a storage area with several firearms and related gear.
  • Multiple rifles and shotguns are visible, some in cases and some leaning against the wall or a shelf.
  • Ammunition, cleaning supplies (including a can of Crest brand cleaner), and other accessories like two-way radios are also present.
  • The items appear to be stored in a small, cluttered utility space rather than a dedicated, secured gun safe.
  • Firearms in the UK, where the user is located, must be stored securely to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Proper storage usually involves a police-approved, purpose-built gun cabinet or safe, securely fixed to the building structure.

Would you like more information on legal requirements for firearm storage in the UK?

I suspect more down to incompetence of the “gangsta” morons who are involved!
Meanwhile in a land not very far away we still have legally held pistols and a thriving pistol shooting community. Oddly enough I have no recollection of any “incidents” where legally held pistols were involved - go figure….
🦊🦊
Undoubtedly correct to a degree. There were very few incidents on the mainland until Dunblane. Unfortunately some people can’t separate the tool that was used from the real reasons why the atrocity occurred- generally mental illness.

This thread reminds me of the saying...

"A Bee does not waste its time explaining to a fly,why Honey tastes better that ****."

Pistols aren’t banned ffs. No firearm in the uk is banned. Everything is available to people who meet the criteria of requirement.

Black powder revolvers and Long Barrel Pistols [LBP) are permitted, but it's no substitute for the 'real' thing.
