Should we be doing more to help farmers ?

I’ll be waiting to the next election to decide

I just don’t buy the insinuation that you’ll get politicians full of moral fibre to vote for. Doesn’t stop them being the best choice at the time of course.
I can see your point entirely. However, it's the only viable option on the horizon to try and change the system for the better.
But with a salary and expenses package for an MP as it stands, it's just a job/career worth going for, and as such will continue to attract professional politicians, fresh out of uni.

Cordial response, I salute you and it’s appreciated. I agree back - I’m just hoping there is a bit of clarity on what any of them actually stand for by the time we have to vote again.

Pretty earth shattering when you count their number , 5 MP's is it?
You have to start some where.

You can't buy yourself a seat in the house?? unless your name was John Prescott and you used all the contributions and cash in the bank from the National Union of Seamen and then promptly shut the union down.....
just saying.

IHT is a totally avoidable tax - if you know when you are going to die and hand everything over 7 years before you die.

These IHT changes also affect shares in privately held companies - which make up s large portion of the economy and nations employment. Most of these shares are pretty illiquid so cash will have to come out of the business to pay the IHT - causing a huge drain on the businesses and their ability to remain viable and employing people.

I think a lot of people will end up unemployed on benefits giving a much drain on the public purse that will be achieved by the amount of tax raised.

Nappies old boy.
Useless fact of the day:
The Americans call nappies "diapers" because the weave of the fabric follows the same pattern as English Tudor period ornamental brickwork, which is called diaper pattern. (Any brickies on here will know that).
You'd have thought they could have come up with something a bit more comfortable than bricks to name them after, wouldn't you?!
