I cracked the lid as well but that was my own ham-fistednessI've had mine 7yrs or so, the only maintenance has been 2 new drive belts.
These were replaced with suitabley sized after market O rings, available online.
Stainless steel pins, bit of dishwasher tablet and a squirt of lemon juice, good to go.

Get the bigger one, you seem to shoot enough to warrant it.
