Alpex 4K - Turret question for owners

I have just received a new Alpex 4K and the top turret, the zoom/ menu button, feels quite loose. The turret turns freely with only very faint clicks and I can lift the outer casing of the turret up a couple of mm - it feel like it’s on a spring.

I called the distributor who said that was normal, but it doesn’t feel right. Before I mount the scope and take it out, are there any Alpex 4K owners who can confirm that this is normal?

They are smooth not like a notched scope turret............just fine.
I have mine on the multi zoom not in the increments of 7 14 21 28
