Gordons v Quickload v actual

chiming in very late here. For some cartridges and rifles and powders and bullets GRT is spot on for the Optimal barrel time and i can basically just grab a load straight from the simulation (in theory, dont do that!)

in others its way off. It may be coincidence but GRT for me always predicts well with large case sizes and n500 series powders but completely drops the ball with n130 n135 etc. I suspect this is due to it not being updated and those powders having shifted in burn rate etc a little since the last update.

In general i definitely find the OBT calculation to be mostly spot on, but it doesnt save too many components if you want to work safely since you will still be working up.

Just read this on a German website.
A quick update on GRT-NG: According to Discord and the official GRT channel there, GRT-NextGeneration might not launch until 2028.
I think the actual statement indicated we should not expect GRT-NG until 2028 at the earliest...

Mal ein Update zu GRT-NG: Laut Discord und dem dortigen offiziellen GRT- Kanal kann es durchaus 2028 werden, bis GRT- NextGeneration an den Start geht.
Here's an update on GRT-NG: According to Discord and the official GRT channel there, it could well be 2028 before GRT-NextGeneration launches. (google translate).

might not launch until 2028. (that is what I wrote, or?

Well, now there is YET ANOTHER German internal ballistics app. Not that I have anything against Germany or Germans, but they seem to be the only people (apart from me - but then I do have a German name) who are interested in creating and providing internal ballistics software for the unwashed masses.

It is called QuickLOADpro and it is an online program, but behind a paywall so you have to pay an annual subscription.

Since it has QuickLOAD in the name, you might expect it to be associated with Hartmut Broemel, the originator of the highly respected QuickLOAD program, which is only available on a disc from Hartmut Broemel or his agents. But you would be wrong....!

There is a somewhat murky story behind this offering, which I shall not go into here. But I post this just as a head-up for information so you can try it for yourself.
