Faced with ambush shooting across the valley when there is 'no option' 300 yards and you can't use a bipod. You own Viper sticks and a Rekon tripod. Which is going to be the most stable platform to shoot off ?

Yes I have a couple with arca clamps.
I still find the sticks more stable.

Seated with the Rekon is going to be the most stable option of the two you mentioned.

I never tried my tripod from a seated position but I will give it a try the next time I take the gongs out for a bit of practice

Fair play. I know people do rate sticks even at range. Most shots are not that far as we all know - don't see many posted of 60 yard shots.0

I don’t have a Rekon, only a BOG with Arca - I can say that ViperFlex with 5th leg would be my go to if a bipod wasn’t an option. The only time it gets tricky with sticks is if you’re getting blown about on a windy day.
