Ballistics Calculator 22lr

I've used shooterscalculator.com but am finding reality bears no relation to the calculator (more than 1 inch different at just 30m when zeroed at 20) I'm guessing barrel length may be a reason for the difference between theory and practice as I'm putting all the other data in, including atmospherics.
What are the 22LR pest shooters doing for 50-100yd shots? are there reliable ballistics calcs for this ?
many thanks

FYI - I have a background in target shooting so I'm getting very good grouping at known distances but that's not helping me with the bunnies!

Does that mean you're using the "box spec" for velocity? You'll either need to chronograph it, or else make some educated guesses to adjust for barrel length until the chart resembles real-life more closely

I didn’t think that was still available now
It's not the particularly easy to get updates, but I have a copy purchased from the Huawei App Store and have managed to keep it updated on my Android phone and tablet. I had originally purchased the App on the Google Play Store. I've just been collating my dopes for the NRL Hunter Match tomorrow and am about to print them off.

i use an Alpex on My 22LR and with the inbuilt calculator it is spot on.

zero'd at 50 yards, shot a hare last week at 135 yards. clean shot.

if you are looking for a designated ""LR scope i have a Brand New in the box Hawke one for sale

This. I’m finding the Alpex Lite very accurate for .22lr Norma subs out to 90 yards - silent one shot kills on rabbits

i use ballistic AE and find it superb , if i may i would recommend a slightly further zero point , i use 50m

it's important to be accurate with your data input - crap in crap out !

for example don't assume or guess your scope height it has a bigger effect than people realise

I use the same calculator as you and I find it to be very close.

I would firstly obtain an accurate muzzle velocity and feed this into the calculator and secondly find somewhere that you can obtain a 55 yard zero. I have run your numbers through shooterscalc using an average of Eleys MV and a 55 yard zero this gives a near zero of 25 yards and a far zero of 55 yards. Between these two zeros the maximum elevation is .45" and this occurs at 40 yards.

thanks to everyone for the input, I don't have a chrono (yet). So, being an old-fashioned kind of guy, I'll do it the old fashioned way - and measure drop over distances to produce my own chart.
Seems like a chronograph could be on my birthday list though :)

Thanks for the reply, didn't really twig that variations in MV from the box stated would have such a major effect. thanks for the link too.
