Bought and used some of Tongmaster’s ā€œPremiumā€ Venison and Juniper seasoning.

Way too strong, very strange taste.

Eatable when sausages are cold but not great hot.

Anybody else had similar experience ?

I have used some of their other mixes. Didn’t find them strong enough and of course they have preservative **** in them. I am just going to mix my own there aren’t many key ingredients if you take out the preservatives and stuff that has to be added to bread
 
We've found that with some of the mixes and then other ones have been lacking in flavour. Had some 'Chilli' burger mix and they didn't taste much more than a plain burger.
Starting to do our own mixes now.
100g Pinhead rusk & 30g of flavouring to each 1kg of meat.
 
Absolutely this ^^^
Same with the Weschenfelder mixes. As a general rule I'd halve whatever quantity they're recommending.
I use a single mix but increase the rest to yield 10kg per mix. With lots of additional fresh herbs it makes a great sausages
