Added advantage of an old cottage with traditional parlour and front room and huge advantage is I have a partner with good taste !
Quite happy with my room where I can go and she can watch midsummer murders and homes in the sun in the sitting room
I found that fireplace behind a 1950s tile type council house fireplace that we couldn’t live with
This is the sitting room previous picture above was my study

I just pile them up in the corner of the living room until everyone gets so fed up tripping over them that they tell me to hang them on the wall to get them out of the way.
